Chunky Infinity Scarf Giveaway

I went to the craft supply store a few days ago to pick up some buttons for an order. I grabbed my packet of buttons and then stood in the checkout line where I fished out a coupon from my wallet and verified that it was still current. When it was my turn I walked up to the register and handed my buttons and coupon to the lady behind the counter. After several attempts of applying the coupon discount to my order, the cashier finally read the coupon herself. She looked up at me and said, "This coupon expired December 26th, you can't use it."

I looked at her, puzzled. "Well, what day is today?"

"This coupon expired in December," she said firmly, "we're in January now."

"Oh, sorry. I'm a stay-at-home-mom so it's all the same to me." I said. I could feel the heat creeping into my cheeks even though I was amused at the whole situation. I forget what day of the week it is all the time, but I should at least remember the month. She went on to tell me how she had been in the same boat once upon a time, and I silently mourned the loss of my 60 cents savings.

So, since we're closing in on the end of January, I thought it would be a great time for another giveaway. I hate to let these wintery months pass without sharing some of the wealth from my yarn studio (a.k.a. room in the attic where I store my yarny chaos). Here's what's up for grabs!

I made a cool rafflecopter widget, so y'all can enter easily with your email address. Don't be intimidated by how cool and widgety it is. It's super easy to enter with! (Unfortunately this is open only to US citizens.) Now that I live in a colder climate I can attest to the delightful warmness of these scarves and how easy they are to wear. If you don't have one you NEED one! Like oxygen.

    1. It's really hard to use coupons when they're supposed to be used, isn't it? Unless it's part of your lifestyle... which it isn't mine. But we can fantasize! :P

  7. Haha, i totally laughed at your comment about not knowing what day it is!! I am SO that way. Seriously, I looked at when you wrote this post and if it wasn't for "Thursday" I would never have known this wasn't written today. :)

But... let's talk about that scarf! Beautiful! And I WOULD LOVE to win it! (Even if I do live in Florida where it's 70 degrees all day, scarfs are still cute accessories!)

  8. This scarf is gorgeous and it's definitely a color I'd love to wear more of. My daughter looks GORGEOUS in that color, but hey, she can share the love, right?! I loved reading your coupon story... and even though I can imagine your embarrassment in the moment (because of countless memories I have that are similar!) it brought a smile to my face :)
